"The sandstone looks fantastic, thank you for a great job. The 1000x400 paver patterns are just awesome. I want to put a wet look sealer on the pavers without making them slippery to walk on. Do you have any recommendations of what to use?

Hi Lani,
I wanted to send you and email last week, but I have been so busy that I just either keep forgetting or haven't got the time. I would like to thank you and the staff from Brisbane Sandstone for the beautiful stone plinths that you supplied us recently. They arrived last Wednesday on the truck from St George Freightlines. I went down to the Depot to personally supervise the unloading from the truck, as I was concerned about damage. The sandstone looks beautiful. I will make sure that we put the Pene-Guard Sealer on the sandstone before it is dispatched from the Depot.

I received word today that the artist sent the Bronze busts of Dowling and Leahy from Melbourne and they were being put on a St George Freightlines truck in Brisbane this morning, so we should have them here this week some time. I will send you a photo when the project is completed so you can see what the sculptures look like on the sandstone.

There will be a slight hold up now to complete the project, as I need to get a reasonable sized concrete pad put down for the plinths to be installed on, as I don't want them damaged when staff mow around them. I did not allow for this in my original planning, as I had expected to put the plinths on individual concrete pads, but after seeing how they whip the ride on mowers around the Parks, I decided to go for a big concrete pad to make sure that the works do not get damaged.

Hi Lani,
I have been meaning to e-mail you for a while. I don't know the name of the driver who delivered the sandstone to my place, nevertheless, I would like to tell you what a champion he is. As you know the drop zone for the sandstone was very limited and the block is on a steep hill on a very narrow road so I was pretty nervous about the drivers reaction. I can only tell you that your man was awesome - he put me at ease right away with his positive, no-problem attitude. His driving skills in that huge truck and dog are impressive to say the least. He was a breath of fresh air. I would appreciate it if you would pass on my appreciation for a job well done. I wish him all the best - keep that great attitude.

You can understand that because Andrea and I are not experts in the business of sandstone that we would not know how much differences there is in quality between the "A grade" blocks and "B grade" blocks. However our installers, Michael Jurgens and his other two of his team, were very impressed with the quality of the stone blocks that was chosen for the job. Mike said that some of these blocks could pass for 'A grade'.

Two good things came out of the quality of blocks that you sent. One, it made Mike's job a lot easier to install. Two, we have had nothing but compliments from people. People are very impressed with the block and are amazed at the low cost of our retaining walls compared to other systems of retaining.
